Autobiography

Hello, my name is Eric Curtis from Victoria, B.C.

I am a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter (’93) with many years of experience in the trade.

My wife, Kelly, and I spent a year in New Zealand travelling and working before heading back home to build our family and lives together. We now live on a hobby farm on the Saanich Peninsula with 2 teenage children , 2 cats, 1 crazy border collie, 2 sheep and a few dozen chickens. Lots to keep us busy! On top of this, my love for soccer has drawn me into being a Youth Soccer Coach for the last 8 years 🙂

My construction company was Incorporated in 1998 and has completed many various projects in the commercial and residential sectors of the industry. Through this variety, I have learned many new building technologies and continue to learn daily. My goal is become a Carpentry Instructor just like the ones that used to teach me (with some updated technology and processes!). Teaching apprentices the knowledge I have gained over the years has always been my favourite part of owning my business so I think I will be a natural – ‘if the shoe fits’
